The Regional Hub provides technical assistance to countries on fertilizer and soil health-related investments and financial support to operations related to such technical assistance through twenty Functions in 7 Categories
Includes developing digital soil maps (or digital soil health and fertility maps), creating a soil health and fertility dashboard, supporting plant and soil analytical laboratory services, and providing advice on carbon sequestration potential.
Involves maintaining a repository of knowledge products (to rapidly exchange best practices) and advising on climate change adaptation and mitigation.
Focuses on deploying bio-fertilizer and specialty fertilizers, developing site-specific nutrient recommendation models, unifying databases and digital tools to collect and manage FAIR and standardized data, monitoring the delivery of agronomic gain, prioritizing new scientific studies, and bundling soil health and fertilizer practices with other services to facilitate scaling and uptake.
Includes farmer-led experimentation, capacitation of national institutions/National Institutes, and establishing a certification scheme for extension staff.
